It's really better for children. My 3 year old usually hates when he gets his hair cut, he flinches and moves when I cut him. But when I pulled this one out he was so intrigued that he sat still and willingly let me cut it. Noise level and wifi really made a big difference in my opinion. However, the length I felt only gives you short options. If you really want to give your kids just short hair, then great. I just wish there were another long option or two. The longest nozzle is 12mm. I'm also not sure if this would be the best trimmer for not-so-fine hair. There are a few random bits I have no idea about and there is no reference in the instructions. So it's weird. Good thing it comes with a little cape.
