This was my first shampoo purchase to reduce the use of plastic. I also use rice water for skin care and personally find rice water best for my skin/scalp. Fast forward a few days into using this product and I'm already loving it. I appreciate that after using water there is still some foam left. I ended up rubbing the bar of soap gently on the scalp as it foams a little faster. I have long hair and when it was wet I couldn't get my fingers through my hair at all. I was a little concerned about this, but after washing and drying my hair, my hair wasn't as harsh or squeaky as when wet. The scalp is clearer than ever! The smell doesn't bother me at all as it's practically non-existent. I use fermented rice products (and real rice water) on my skin and it can get pretty smelly! A few days later I was still using a balm conditioner on the ends of my hair. My hair has gained a lot of volume and while I appreciate it, I love the silky feel of my hair. I also feel that the shape of the bar itself could be improved. It's big and bulky and I sometimes find it difficult to use, at least at first. Overall, I am looking forward to the positive effects of this product.
