I have arthritis in my wrist and sometimes my watch doesn't fit the bone properly. It's just the right shape to spread out the watch track on my wrist and protect against accidental hotspots. I don't use the straps that came with it. I simply use the bottom pad and thread a one-piece 22mm Bertucci canvas strap through the slots. That works great. It looks great with the Bertucci case in brown and khaki. The only thing I complain about is the strong smell. Smells like cheap department store leather. This odor does not come from the leather itself but from the chemicals used in its tanning and processing. High quality leather doesn't smell like that. With straps included, I guess that's to be expected. If this is an issue for you, and especially if you only want to use the upholstery section, consider ordering one from a leather craftsman.
