Review on Husqvarna 967983806 Vacuum Cleaner Orange by Allen Wagner

Husqvarna is a well respected company known for making excellent (some say the best) chainsaws and other small engine equipment. So it's not surprising that they make an excellent vacuum cleaner. And this one looks great to me. Every part of it feels solid, well made and well thought out in its design. It's powerful yet surprisingly quiet, the caster wheels work great without increasing the vacuum's footprint, the latches to open the vacuum for emptying are easy to use and close tightly. and I could go on enumerating the nifty features. Of particular note is that when you open the vacuum cleaner, the bottom part that collects dust and dirt has its own bucket-shaped handle for easy carrying. Although not described as such, this vacuum cleaner has the configuration and relatively large capacity of a shop vacuum cleaner. Some similar vacuums accept filter bags but describe them as optional. The instruction manual for this vacuum cleaner warns against using it without a bag filter, although there is also a washable and replaceable drum filter in addition to the bag filter. Unfortunately the only source I could find online that sells filter bags specifically for this vacuum (factory authorized retailer dot com) says they are out of stock. I expect Husqvarna to make these bags more affordable, but in the meantime it's likely that some other manufacturers' filter bags will work with this vacuum. Personally I think I'll stick to standard vacuuming practice and only use a filter bag if I'm vacuuming particularly fine dust like plaster of paris. As for the downsides, I can highlight a few: while the floor cleaner is excellent, there's no electric carpet beater, so you'll have to look elsewhere if you need to. Again, it looks more like a shop vacuum than a household vacuum. Second, it's quite large for a vacuum with a 25 liter (6.6 gallon) tank volume. I suspect it has to do with the good soundproofing around the engine; As already mentioned, this vacuum cleaner is really quiet.
