Used as a power switch on a computer case

It works well as a switch replacement in my old but still good computer case. the power button was ok but the drive button was broken. The hole turned out to be exactly 3/4" so it fit without a mod. The bulbs fit perfectly but I had to solder wires to make it fit instead of using the included connector. Don't forget the heat shrink tubing and I cut off the NC connector. It hit the metal shell of the case and because the connector is not polarized on the motherboard I happened to have the common connector on the switch high and the NO terminal grounded. When I closed the front panel , the NC terminal was in contact with the metal of the frame as if the button was stuck. The LED terminal is for 12V but they must use an active current limiter or something 5V power supply LED connector does not work, but the difference between 5V and 12V is not too big. It's a really nice soft blue glow that works well with the HD activity indicator. If you really need 12V, connect it to the fan header. but I didn't find it necessary. The switch itself has good latching, enough tactile feedback to tell when it's triggered, and when I tested the LED on my desktop, I checked the contact resistance and it was within the noise floor on my bench. Highly recommended for this particular application.
