On some laptops, the camera usually freezes after a few seconds. This includes a very short original cable. The original cable slightly increased the likelihood that it would work for more than a few seconds. We couldn't find a working USB cable. It sometimes worked well with the very short original cable and the auto-framing made some questionable framing decisions, but it worked. Also, I don't like the default image quality; I was expecting it to be much sharper and cleaner. The software may allow you to adjust the image quality. I'll never know because it hasn't worked long enough. The design of this camera is great, but that's about it.
