Wall fan with a good bargain price - I bought 3

I bought three (3) of these walk through fans for our lakeside cabin. We have a fireplace in the living room and electric baseboard heaters throughout the cabin, but there is no air conditioning so there is no way to circulate air between cabin spaces. I have connected these fans to Z-Wave light switches and control them with my Ion. Security system and home automation application. The fans turn on automatically at pre-programmed intervals and automatically circulate the air in the cabin. Installation was fairly easy, although I ran into an issue on the wall where the fan shroud was just a few millimeters shorter. The wall was 2 x 6 but with drywall and pine paneling making it a bit thicker than the fan housing would allow. The point is this. As long as your wall is 2x4 or 2x6 with a sheet of drywall on each side you should be fine, anything thicker may not seal properly. Another problem I had was with the cutout and stencil. They provide a cut out template in the box that works, but the bottom right screw is where the speed controller is very close to the end of the cut out you are making in the drywall. All other holes are fine, but this bottom right hole may or may not hold a screw and drywall anchor. After the first one I learned to be very careful when cutting out the template and not to cut anything in the lower right corner. In terms of performance, the fan works great, moving air from one room to another efficiently and fairly quietly. . At lower fan speeds you barely hear the fan, while at higher speeds you can hear the fan motor, but it's still quiet enough to sleep with the fan running. As mentioned, I purchased three (3) fans and one of the three actually had a louder sound than the other, still relatively quiet but louder than the other two fans. Overall I am very happy with these wall fans. They circulate air well between the spaces in our cabin, helping to balance the heat in winter and the cool air in summer. I would recommend these fans to anyone and would buy them again. Note: I also bought Tjernlund AireShare. Transmission cooling fan from Revain.com (US site). It's a lot more expensive but definitely better and quieter than the Suncourt model. Both fans work fine. So if you're on a budget go for the Suncourt and if money isn't an issue or you want the quietest geared fan go for the Tjernlund.
