I have a cat and a few years ago I bought a new feather box for my bed because it scratched my old one and it looked awful. When it arrived I just left the plastic on the nib block and figured I'd find something to put on it so the cat wouldn't scratch it (it doesn't usually scratch, but my last nib block was one thing he loved). ).
