This is what a polished leather lanyard looks like! I know there are many more shiny sharp blades out there than these, but this one is shiny and polished enough for me! Just follow the instructions exactly! Read it! I used Green Compound for polishing. I've seen a lot of bad reviews on this product, most of these complaints are because the leather strap breaks so easily because these people work their tools too quickly! Read and understand the instructions carefully and you will get the results you want. I ran mine on low speed to sharpen ken onions, there's a twist knob in the trigger, reduce the speed for finer sharpening and buffing, you don't run it at high speed, it's just for grinding and sharpening and shaping of burrs and in the polishing step, the machine should be slow. Comments Updated 12/4/21 Still using the belt! And I've sharpened 30 knives already, and this belt is pretty worn out, but it can still be polished and sharpened. I'm still waiting for this leather belt to give up so I can get a new one!
