Runs well. I only have one rechargeable cartridge but I prefer to charge it from the charging station rather than the light circuit and I could end up buying a second cartridge by charging both cartridges at the same time, albeit faster for a cartridge that uses a charging station. If the user is having trouble getting the red charge indicator to glow clearly, make sure the cartridge is screwed all the way into the cradle and that the USB power adapter is supplying at least 1 amp. I had problems with my old AC/USB adapter, which told me it wasn't actually outputting the 1 amp rating. I switched to the Apple 12w AC/USB adapter that I use for my iPad 4 and the cartridge charged quickly.
