Bought these for my mother to put in the garage. She likes it because it has a switch and you can put the light anywhere within, I think 30 to 50 feet of the switch, so to her it's like an electric light. It doesn't light up the whole room, but just enough light for you to see without bumping into things. It's also a great price and runs on 4 AA batteries. It works so well we bought 2 more for the garage and I bought one for my pantry. I also liked the motion detection version but it stumbles too much because of things moving outside. It has an on/off and an RF frequency so it always works at the switch or you can just leave it on all the time.
