Bought my used 07 gs350 and always thought the trunk was a little heavy to lift but slammed so easily. I never thought about it but my wife used my car for a week and was complaining about the trunk so I decided to change the shock absorbers to see if that would help and let me tell you. Day and night the difference in the position of the trunk, I can lift it with three fingers and close it with one hand without worrying about damaging the firing pin. This product matters. Hopefully it will stand the test of time and use. We will see. It seems pretty well made, but I can't see the inside and that's the point. It was also very easy to install. Just slide the locking pawl onto the heads of the old ones and put them on. A++
