I don't know what they use to make them but the glue is strong enough to split atoms I swear. Never attach it directly to anything unless you want to permanently stick an adhesive pad to it. I used this to permanently attach the pop jack to my phone case so it doesn't ruin the back of my beautiful phone. Remove the protective padding from one side and stick it on the back of the phone case. Remove the plastic from the pop socket and the other side of the adhesive pad. Finally glue the sticky part of the pop socket to the sticky part of this pad. the resulting fusion of the sticky parts is comparable to a two-part automotive epoxy.
