I just bought a small freezer and hid it in a cabinet I already built. I drilled a hole to aid in heat dissipation but I was still concerned that it would get too hot inside and burn the capacitor. I wanted to outfit my system with vintage computer fans, but I wanted more control over when the fans would turn on and off. Enter this great system. If you're super skilled (and I am) you can go down the DIY computer fan route with Arduino etc., but if you're not super handy or just don't want the hassle, this system is for you. IMHO it's worth the higher price tag if it saves the life of my freezer and all the food in it, not to mention the convenience of automatically setting the trip temperature and then letting the unit decide when it's best to turn it on and off. with heat sensor. They provide plastic templates so you can trace where to cut the fans and where to pre-drill the screw holes. They also indicate the best position for the intake and exhaust fans. My only small issue has to do with my setup: it shrinks a lot in the case and the USB connectors to the fans and control box stick out perpendicular to the connectors. I solved this problem by buying rectangular USB adapters, but that's just something to consider when measuring the cabinet to be installed.
