No Surprising that boost converter such a reached the price and size of a postage stamp? I've used them to convert 12VDC to 15V as well as 24V. Both applications draw <0.75A so the boost converter only gets a little warm. I used a DC load tool to test it up to its 2A rating. The converter got quite warm and the voltage dropped by about 10%. I would advise against drawing more than 1A without doing some reliability testing. It goes without saying that the DC output is noisy due to the switching that takes place to step up the voltage. There's no significant filtering on this board, but you can put some in the output if your application has concerns about spikes coming from things in switch mode.
