I love the structure of the shelf and it's perfect for my purposes, but cats absolutely hate the faux fur lining. It's just plain creepy and cheap on the $80 cat shelf. You even pay an extra $5 for a notebook. All other colors of this bed come with a Berber insert which my cats get along with well. Why the manufacturer thought faux fur was a good idea let alone an upgrade I don't understand. I contacted them to see if they would replace the liner with one of the Berber options but all they offered was to sell me replacement liners. At $80 that's already overpriced, so adding another $20 with tax and shipping is a ridiculous option. Back to Raven!
