I don't know what's in our tap water, I suspect an unusually high level of chlorine, but whatever it is, my stomach upsets me right after I've drunk it. The UV light must work in any configuration, as all you have to do is run water through the cylinder with the UV light to disinfect it, the direction of the water flow doesn't matter.3. My problem was solved, it was assumed that the booster pump was damaged in transit and I am very happy with this system. To solve my outlet access problem I bought a rectangular extension cord with 3 outlets on one end, plugged it into the outlet behind the unit and routed the cord over the cabinet baseboard and into the sink cabinet. Not a big deal, just a little annoying. Seems to be a well built system, I don't see what more expensive systems can offer other than what this system offers.
