IDK about people saying they have faux leather but I have leather. I don't wear it long, but if it doesn't fall apart in the next few days I can't imagine how bad it is. For the price I can't complain, my only issue was with the chain, it was about a foot long and about a quarter inch thick which could very well be a necklace so I bought another chain but again, for the price of the wallet itself costs.
