This product has all the attributes of luxury. It looks shiny and golden. It feels smooth and silky. It's also fairly pricey for the amount, and smells pretty nice (though a bit strong straight out of the bottle - the smell is nicely subdued when you shower). The problem is that while it's decently moisturizing, it doesn't lather well and doesn't moisturize as well as a dedicated after-shower lotion. It doesn't even appear to cleanse your body, although I suspect it does. Using this product reminds me of something I learned from a documentary about ancient Rome a while ago. Gladiators cleaned themselves by smearing the skin with olive oil and then scraping it off. It feels like someone is cleaning in a similar way instead of using the more traditional soap. It's not bad, it's just unusual, and a tube doesn't last long compared to using soap. I would say this is best used for specific applications (face, legs etc) rather than the whole body.
