I can't help but praise this book/set. The instructions are incredibly easy to follow and almost all are beginner or intermediate. Also, the book is big so everything is presented nice, big and clear. I've been origami for a few years now and have made my fair share of complex "crazy" models, but I prefer simpler models that can be made "on site" for friends. This book is for anyone who wants to add beautiful, unique, yet simple models to their repertoire. I can't count how many people had better days getting the unicorn from this book. Some of the patterns are extremely easy (Golden Goose), others are a bit tedious (Kraken), but the majority of this book is beginner to intermediate, fun to build, and great for everyone. The kite consists of a simple bird base and is great for a simple, elegant version of the kite that takes no more than 5 minutes (intermediate/expert folders read like 2 minutes). Griffon takes a little longer, but it's still easy and looks incredibly beautiful. The unicorn is exquisite and realistic but easy to make etc etc. The hardest for me was Cerberus which took me about 10 minutes but the second step took me less than 5 and remains one of the most graceful ideas I've found in any book have seen. The only downside to this set is that the paper is very basic and limited in color, but for little money you can find thousands of beautifully designed sheets of paper to bring to life. Almost all of these models are "cornered," so I highly recommend Harmony Paper. Don't miss this or any other book by Lafosse!
