Cat Karen loves this scratching post. She was so excited when I opened it that I didn't even pull it out before she smacked the toy ball. Her weirdly long claws are all intact, and I keep a nearby scratching post for her on each floor because I don't like her using my furniture as a perch. It's a good size to make sure she remembers it, but it's not intrusive in the room. Its dimensions are 20.5 x 11.4 inches. It's cute and dainty, with a soft snuggly area at the top, a fun toy ball to play with, and natural rope wrapped around the pole. It is very easy to assemble. Simply screw the post to the top of the bed, then flip it over, add a screw to the bottom and use an allen wrench to attach the base to the post. Cat trees don't come cheap, and at the time of writing this review, they cost just under $30. She loves it so we highly recommend it.
