I bought a 480GB SanDisk Extreme 510 Portable SSD to test my current Spinning HDD to SSD migration program for my Hi-Fi system. It is connected to a MacMini and a PrismSound DAC with amplifiers and speakers. With an SSD, I can play at different bitrates and sampling rates. With the right software, I can store and play FLAC (lossless) compressed files that expand on the fly, allowing me to store a lot more music on an SSD. With multiple SanDisc SSDs, I can use the portable SSD in plug-n-play mode for any genre of music I like. At the moment the test was successful, there were no failures.
