I bought this leash for my 1 year old German Shepherd who will become my service dog with PTSD after training. This leash has a soft rubber grip at the end of the leash that is comfortable for your hands. If it could be placed on the wrist strap closest to the animal, it would make the leash comfortable in both places. Also, for larger dogs, the bottom loop may be slightly closer to the dog's body (just an inch or two). This would help better control a larger animal that pulls while walking. Unless the owner is a tall person, the position of the strap allows the dog to walk about a shoulder length in front of you. This corresponds to a head start for the handler. Large puppies like my GSD 65# are difficult to control for older owners like me. Until the puppy learns to pull, we old people can be pulled. The overall design is great. I love it. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 star rating is because I've only had it for a few days and the durability factor wasn't an issue. The reflective thread can also be slightly more visible to improve nighttime visibility.
