Don't buy this if you really want to protect an expensive laptop. Bought for a 15.6 inch Asus TUF laptop. Some issues that made me return this case. 1- It's cheap thin plastic, every part of this case is flexible, you drop it loaded, it will break and probably won't do anything to your laptop. It can be decent for slipping and poking or for keeping on a shelf or indoors, but if you intend to travel with it best put it on top of it as it will definitely not support the weight of anything else.2- It might be the thinnest, cheapest Foam I've ever seen and the smallest amount I've ever received in a protective case. In their favor, a thin layer forms along the outer edge of the denser foam, about 1/2" thick at best, and less than 1/4" thick in places. Then on the lid, a layer of 1/2" red egg crate on top, a layer of thicker gray underneath, they're glued in, not good but glued in, and 2 might be a 1/4 inch sheet of the thinnest eggcrate styrofoam I've ever seen. it can be looked through. with a pair of thin strips of material attached to the left and right sides of a denser foam rubber. 3- to their credit, the left and right fit are decent, front to back left 1/2 inch headroom, I could use the included transparent layers to tighten this up but therein lies the big problem. With your laptop, mouse, power cord, peripherals you might have in your bag, and two layers of clear foam, you still have over 1 inch of headroom from top to bottom support. the red foam from the egg crate on top doesn't even reach the surface of the lid, and your items don't reach the surface of the bottom. leaving you with an expensive laptop and all of its accessories dangling in a flimsy plastic box. At $55 I definitely didn't expect to have to buy more foam or get such a flimsy piece of plastic advertised as durable or protective. My advice is go to Lowe's or Home Depot and spend $30 on a good plastic tool chest, Rigid, Milwaukee and Dewalt all make them and cheaper brands have them too, and order $10 worth of eggcrate foam from Revain in the color you want. , and you have a suitcase to stand on, fall on, and smack on that's worth $40 of your time and peace of mind. Port Freight also has heavy cases which I have used for cameras if you need extra space. I've included a picture of my laptop sitting on top of a mouse and charger with their 2 layers of clear foam between them, I've also included a picture of one of the hard cases I put together to keep the 3 cheaper laptops safe We use this $29.99 hard case and it goes well with the 2 inch foam I bought and has a side section for extra stuff. I will do the same for this laptop but with more foam to make up for the space that only has 1 laptop. For around $40 and 5 minutes of effort, it's not worth the money at all and protects your laptop from nothing more than scratches.
