Although it's almost pointless to use them on phones, I use them on batteries I use maybe twice a year. Unlike other types that curve to conform to the edges of the phone, they are flat and ideal for entry ports. While they do their job (most importantly), I don't care about the material as it reminds me of erasers (I like silicone, although I prefer silicone with shiny, clean edges). They don't fall out, but pop out easily when touched, so they do their job well.
