Expensive but great AND WORTH IT. Thick, smooth, maybe not stretchy but maybe better than it looks but very supportive. My only "complaint" is that I want to use it as a footstool WHEN I WANT IT, and was hoping it would fold "flat" against the wall when I wasn't using it. This is artificial leather of such a quality that it is too thick for it. Well I'll come up with something because it's a comfy footstool and I LOVE looking at it so maybe it doesn't deserve to be put out of the way.
