Review on 🏖️ Method Fabric Softener: Beach Sage Scent, 53.5oz, 45 Loads, 4 Pack - Packaging Varies by Steven Mazie

After my mother gave me her handkerchief with this scent, I fell in love. The scent of sea sage smells sooooo good. I ended up buying detergent, fabric softener, and tea towels to make all my clothes smell like this. I've been using it for a few months now and can officially say I hate this fabric softener. I'm a bit of an extremist, a go big or go home type of person. So I usually put more than the recommended amount of detergent and such in my load. I immediately realized that you CANNOT use too much fabric softener as it will NOT make your clothes very soft. This actually leaves a lot of residue that feels disgusting and prevents the clothes from feeling completely dry. Okay, so it was MY fault. I acknowledge it. I began tediously adding only half the recommended amount of fabric softener to my downloads. When my bottle reached the middle, I filled up the rest with purified water to avoid halving the dose. Before each load, I shake the bottle to make sure it's still half water and half fabric softener mixed, then measure it out in my load. My loads STILL come out of the dryer covered in residue. I'm very tired of doing every other load of laundry! In addition, the smell sometimes stays on the clothes and sometimes disappears quickly. I have no idea why. In addition, the lid of the fabric softener bottle keeps coming off. It's really annoying. I really wanted to love it. I believed in it so much that when I first bought it I bought a box of these! I have no idea what I'm going to do now to get through the rest. I am extremely disappointed.
