This product does what it is designed to do and the key to not forming sticky clumps is to spritz into hand and apply to damp hair then comb through when that hair is completely dry. Such a product must be "sticky", otherwise how can it add volume to the hair strands? Unfortunately, it took me a while to figure out why my hair was falling out. I started using this product in January 2018 and around June my hair started falling out. I had cryptic bumps on my scalp that were like growths that no whitening product could help with. Even the dermatologist had no explanation. I ruled out several options: thyroid, vitamin deficiencies, hormones, even an aversion to dry shampoo (which was terrible because it's my favorite product for my fine, straight hair). I've used anti-dandruff shampoo, castor oil, folic acid B12, even tried microneedling on the scalp to no avail. I knew about sodium lauryl sulfate in shampoos but never thought it would be in styling sprays. Well, it's there and that was definitely the culprit all along. I stopped using this product and everything has changed. However, I enjoyed the volume while it lasted. Not everyone will have this reaction, I just want anyone looking for answers to hair loss questions to be aware that using products with SLS should be investigated.
