Compact and does the job I was hoping for - prevents my TV from restarting due to power surges. A few years ago I installed a TV in the kitchen. - Shortly after the warranty expired, so did the TV. I thought it was just a mediocre production and bought another (different brand). Within a week the new TV started shutting down and restarting at random intervals with no warnings or other ads. I thought there was something wrong with the TV, so I sent it to a service center for repair under warranty. The service center replaced the power adapter in the TV and sent it back. An hour after I put it back in, the TV restarted. Then it dawned on me: What if it's not the TV, it's the power supply? Should the power drop low enough or jump high enough to warrant a reset response from the TV? So I was looking for a compact solution as the TV hangs on a bracket on the wall. I found and bought this item thinking it would either fix the problem or I could move it to my stereo when it didn't. The air conditioner has been installed for over a week and the TV has never restarted since installing this unit. The really nice thing is that since the power conditioner is small, it attaches to the bracket that holds the TV and powered speaker. The only downside is that the seal that determines what each indicator reads is basically worn out (that's how it arrived). EDIT: The TV randomly restarted about a week after installing the power conditioner. I don't think the air conditioning is to blame - I was hoping it would fix it, but it turns out it wasn't because the TV was broken. I would still buy it again!
