The design requires you to take it apart and attach the inner base to the bottom of the cabinet. It's bad enough, but there's no template to help you mark and drill holes as needed. Although the mount is lightweight, it is difficult to hold it in place, mark the spot to drill, install the screw while holding it, etc. The wire provided is quite short and may not be suitable for some people. I had to lengthen it to match the existing wiring. I wasn't sure if I could do it. Adding the second part (not the cover) was almost as difficult. I had to make other adjustments because the hanging soundbar was so close that it disabled the switch on the mount. For those whose hardwiring connects to a light switch, you may want this light fixture to be switchless. Generally, if one of my existing devices fails, I will try to find another product.
