Tiny, rugged and fast, but gets very hot

The JetFlash USB 3.0 32GB Flash Drive is a miniature stainless steel keychain. The key ring loop is too small to fit into an airplane cable or even the smallest S-Biner clip. Only a wafer-thin bunch of keys can be passed through. I ripped a small ring off an old Micro Photon light and attached it to the aircraft cable ring and S-Biner. I tested JetFlash and it is the fastest flash drive I have ever owned. This is my first USB 3 stick but it will surely bury my old SanDisk 2.0 and LaCie 2.0 sticks and feel more like an SSD than a flash drive when importing RAW image and video files from the USB 3 Copy port of my iMac. It is easy to assemble and disassemble. The problem is that it gets hot when installed in my iMac or USB 3 hub. I don't recommend leaving it mounted for long periods of time: uploading/downloading and ejecting. I use it in a Dyconn hub with a switch and turn it off when I'm done. My other flash drives get slightly warm, but never hot. I suspect the tiny size doesn't dissipate heat as effectively as the larger designs. The JetFlash has a lot going for it: tough, tiny, cute as a button, and incredibly fast. I don't like it getting hot. However, JetFlash is my medium of choice and it stores and transfers my files like a champ. I recently found that while it does get warm on USB3 hubs, it only gets warm on USB2 hubs.
