Review on Powerful Hoover WindTunnel 2 Whole House Rewind Vacuum Cleaner with Hepa Filtration - UH71250, Blue by Alex Barnes

Wanted to love ended in hate

I bought this vacuum cleaner 4 months ago to replace the previous Hoover WindTunnel Bagless Upright, UH70120 which was green. The previous model served me well for about 2 years and then just wore out. The new blue design is very attractive and elegant, and the brushes stop rotating when the vacuum cleaner is in a fully upright position, parked so to speak. And how could I be wrong for $100? Well I was wrong. The suction power was lower than the green model right from the start and I wanted to live with that. But over those 4 months he got progressively worse, to the point that he was so weak he was practically unusable. And this despite the fact that you clean the machine and the filters every time you use it. In the end when I was looking through the reviews on wirecutter dot com for bagless vacuum cleaners the most popular was the Shark Navigator NV352 and I just got it. More money, but so far I'm thrilled; It's a hell of a lot better than this car. Maybe I just got a "bad apple" but maybe Hoover should go back to just selling the UH70120.

Pros
  • Brilliantly made
Cons
  • Sad packaging
