Review on Fostex T50RP MK3 Semi-Open ๐ŸŽง Studio Headphones, Designed for Professional Use by Aashit Sharma แ Œ

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I'm very happy with the product, it's very satisfying.

These are my first open headphones and even planars, before that there were only closed speakers, perhaps this caused such delight from listening. Now in use akg k361, Sony mdr-7506, old senses of the hd series are still lying around somewhere, but the fosteks outperform all of the above options: in my case, I didnโ€™t have to get used to the sound at all, it shocks with its purity and elaboration from the first minutes, instruments and vocals do not fall into a heap, everything is in its place, the top is transparent, the middle is present, the bass may seem a little to someone, but it is there and, for me personally, exactly as much as necessary and it is very elastic. I use it with a desktop amplifier, but even with a macbook and a hi-fi player without amplification, but with high gain, they sound quite solid and are still better than the above ears, although you have to turn up the volume more. The only drawback would be the ear pads, they are thin and uncomfortable, but there are a lot of alternatives on the market, so this problem is leveled for a low price. Many describe these ears as the only basis for customization, I donโ€™t know what to customize here (except for the ear pads), the sound and design are more than satisfied. Well, the cherry on the cake is the price. Too bad it can't be rated 6 out of 5

Pros
  • Stunning sparkling transparent sound, quite comfortable fit on the head, although the design is conditionally open, not much sound leaks, price
Cons
  • Ear pads
