Well made and thinner just because you stack your cards, which any wallet can do. Of course, if you had a sleeve for each card, the wallet would be thicker. There is no science as to why this wallet works. But I like it because it's thin. The only downside to this wallet and the reason I only give it three stars is that it is very slippery. It took me a while to learn how to grab it with more force when pulling it out of my back pocket, otherwise it would slip out of my hands and onto the floor almost every time. It also tells me it's easier to get picked up, especially in jeans with those loose back pockets. So now I carry it in my front pocket when I'm in a crowd. I think I saw a leather version of this wallet that I will try next time.
