It is irresponsible for this seller/brand to sell this item without battery clips. It's advertised as 300W but only includes a 12V adapter to connect to a power supply. What most users will not realize is that a 12V car socket (e.g. with a cigarette lighter socket) can only draw around 150-180W before the fuse (12V x 15 Amp) blows. If you have a small air compressor or similar that draws about 300 watts (115 volts at 2.6 amps) it will blow a 15 amp car fuse every time. advertised with > 150 watts. You must power the inverter directly from the car battery, not from a 12V outlet. I will say that the instruction manuals for the product mention the use of battery clamps (fine print), but again the company cannot supply battery clamps. so it's useless - I mean who has battery clips? Also, there's really no way to attach the battery clips since the 12v adapter is hardwired. A shame.
