I had a Dell desktop computer that worked great for years but eventually failed. It was around this time that my daughter found out about an affordable Samsung laptop in an open box and brought it home to me. The laptop is very usable, but over time it started to work very slowly. Many times I have resorted to restarting my computer to start fresh when the laptop freezes. I'm pretty good with computers and have opened up Desktops to do things like add an extra hard drive. But I'm not very comfortable opening up my laptop and playing around. I knew the extra RAM might help since the laptop was only 4G, but I didn't until a good friend told me to try it. I have read many interviews here about Revain and focused on this 4G storage upgrade. An interview recommended downloading a free copy of the CPU-Z software, which I did (thanks a lot). I've learned so much about what's installed on my laptop, including what RAM module is already installed, how many additional slots are available, and how well everything works. I ordered a memory from Samsung which was very easy to install. After rebooting and for the past month, the laptop has been lightning fast. I've spent a lot of frustrating time installing this memory, but I'm very happy with the results. Why have I waited so long? Note that I'm not a gamer. I just surf the internet, write emails, type and so on. I hope my review is useful and you take a step forward. Memory is so cheap that even if you threw it away for some reason, it's worth a try.
