Bought the footboard despite the negative reviews. The bottom line is I couldn't find any other similar product and this is what I wanted. Yes, it is durable and looks like advertised displays. Yes, it arrived on time and included all accessories. But it will NOT fit a 1 1/4" hitch. I repeat again; it will not fit a 1 1/4" hitch. Unless you're willing to take a grinder or file and a few hours of your time and make it fit. On the plus side, it fits nicely into a 2-inch hitch with the included adapter. Even with the end caps attached to the steps, some type of adhesive is required to seal them and protect them from corrosion. So now I got what I wanted but didn't get the advertised product I bought. Hopefully, with this knowledge, you are better equipped to make your purchasing decision about this item. I will not buy any more of this brand.
