Review on πŸ’ˆ Wahl Professional 5 Star Magic Clip Precision Fade Clipper: Zero Overlap Blades, Variable Taper Lever, Texture Settings | For Pro Barbers & Stylists - Model 8451 by Belinda Rivas

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Mine are still turning after 6 years.

I bought mine exactly 6 years ago and it cuts almost like the first day, about 90% and I cut my hair once a week; Keep in mind that I think my model is an outdated version with a V5000 engine instead of the new V9000. A few things: There is some rust, just a bit on the inside, and that's probably because I cleaned it with soap and water, now I know better and just used rubbing alcohol and a good napkin. The on/off switch is loose so I stuck a toothpick in to hold it in place. Every few times you have to adjust the vibration with a screwdriver, screwing on one side, this applies to many Wahl models, and in fact it's good, because with other brands, when the engine is unbalanced, and they are all because of their nature; You cannot reset it without opening the case. Of course, you'll need to remove the blades from time to time to get rid of the hair stuck underneath. My blades still work sharp even though they are now permanently bonded to their screws. I made the mistake of having someone else "deep clean and adjust" a hair clipper about three years ago that used some type of industrial glue to hold the blades in place and now they won't come off, although I did heat the blades to the point where they started to glow red.
