Advantages: easy assembly, product as described. The top is a bit unstable. I don't think my cat will try to use the top so I can just remove it anyway. This scratching post is a fairly good size but seems to be better suited for smaller to medium sized cats. My cat weighs about 12-13 pounds, which isn't a lot, but she's a big cat. It seems a bit small to him. All in all this cat tree works so far, I don't have much space and it's a good size.
