One of my best purchases lately - I won't be changing the car anytime soon, that's why

I have an old Avalon from 2006 with a tape recorder and of course no bluetooth connection. I also used to have an iPhone 4S which I routed the audio through one of those cable ties but it was a 3.5mm connection which is no longer present on the newer iPhones, yes I finally upgraded a year ago πŸ™ƒ . So I figured it would be easy, bought a 3.5 inch adapter and found a good one that can actually charge the phone at the same time and was very excited until I found that it charges the phone and yes it can audio forward, but since I'm using a non-MiFI certified battery pack around my phone, it's only charging but not transmitting any sound. At first I thought it was an adapter, but it's not. So I started looking for other options. A month before I bought this transmitter I had been renting cars for months and was so used to Apple's car connection, although I was annoyed at how long it took to connect once I was in a th3 rental car. When I got back to my old car, I missed it. and I thought I was in dire need of a new car. Believe it or not, it actually caused it to be shelved again. Cons 1 - The sound quality is amazing. I've tried others in the past including big brands and I couldn't continue because the interference and noise was incredible. this was not the case with this one. however I have to say. On initial setup I got poor quality and a lot of hiss on one channel which brought back old memories and I was sure I'd get it back, but when I played FM channels I found that the station on a other channel was actually broadcasting in much better quality than the one I actually tuned in to. strange but it's true. I've played a few times but it actually confirmed my results so I just switched the sync to the new frequency and it's been working great since 2. The connection speed is amazing. So if I leave my radio on FM on that station all the time, which I do, it should take about 2 seconds to connect to my phone. Long before I even buckled in, which is phenomenal, and part of what Apple's Auto 3 uses for 2020 cars - like the ability to change the color of the decorative bezel, even though mine is hidden in the center console 4 - was personal This makes it useless to me with the cable that came with it, but I'm sure other customers do, so this is a welcome addition. The only thing I hated and wished they would change. There was no wired microphone! So if you have a cigarette lighter that you want to plug it into outdoors, you'll have no problem using the strap on the microphone for phone calls, but if it's tucked away in the console between the front seats. Like me then you'll find out the hard way as I've found you can hear people fine through car speakers but they can't hear you until I find this. I have to leave the console lid open so others can hear me, and then I realized what was going on. I thought I would just set up the audio output but still use the phone's mic, but it wasn't, it passed both, and since the mic was blocked on the transmitter in the console, the audio input was terrible. and people couldn't hear me speak. I was so sad because I knew I had to return it. I found a solution. not perfect, but it worked for me. So, in addition to the established transmitter connection, I also connect Nokia or Apple Bluetooth headphones. I stream GPS audio, my music, news/tv or whatever via a transmitter to my car speakers for incredible sound, but to make a call I have to use bluetooth headphones and luckily for me they actually worked. better than 2020 rental cars as the audio volume is actually synced. So when I get a call it automatically mutes the car speakers until I end the call and it temporarily redirects to my headphones until I end the call. solution/suggestion. either a feature built into the transmitter that allows you to choose what you want to route through it, i.e. audio output only to the speakers when using the phone's microphone, or route both audio output and input, but a very add thin 2-3ft cable Microphone that can output even with the console lid closed so the audio input goes through it instead of using additional headphones like I did. He did very well. I just wish they would make a change and I wish it was a little cheaper but a great product and you won't regret your purchase.
