Heats up very quickly which is a little intimidating. It says it takes 40 watt candelabra bulbs so I used them but when I screw the bulb all the way in it's crooked and gets so hot I'm afraid it might catch fire. So I'm not screwing it all the way through. The lightbulb sticks out from above. The shadow grows warm. Also, I don't like the switch. It's just awkward and too far from the cable to reach. I am concerned that if I try to turn it on or off I will recognize the lamp and it will get so hot that I am sure it would be a major fire hazard if knocked over. I didn't think that such a small lamp would be a problem. Its height is only 9 inches. he is so small But it burns up quickly.
