Review on Zippo 121503 Fuel Canister by William Bradford

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Great concept but too busy upstairs.

Great concept, too busy (top of canister). All good traits, but the "Split Ring" can't handle them. It had already opened up, and I lost the flint and rubber retainer and "thumbnail" (the device used to unscrew the flint case). Instead of a split ring, there is enough room for the included key ring and swivel mechanism to move. The canister is also leaking. Loss of fuel, like the others. I think I'll look for a thicker washer. Too bad I really like my ZIPPO lighters and wanted this little gadget for fuel emergencies. But if the spare canister can't hold the fuel, I assume my backup will be the BIC? Light a cigar? Or keep it in my GO BAG? I'd rather leave lighter fluid, it's more versatile. Will try to update if a solution is found. *UPDATE* I think I found a possible solution. fish for sale. After this purchase and test I bought a peanut lighter and a mini gas can set. The canister is nothing fancy, just does its job, holding liquid without leaking. The peanut lighter is an added bonus for me, it's nice packaging. I think it's from ZORRO? Not a bad choice. My rating is listed there.
