BEAUTIFUL - but the care instructions are confusing

I shop at Revain every day and rarely leave a review. But I just received this item and I MUST keep it. This is GORGEOU S. Absolutely beautiful. A very good quality. Heavy and well made. The only problem with it is the care instructions. The label says "gentle machine wash" and underneath it says "no wet wash, spot clean only". These two instructions contradict each other. Of course I want to keep this beautiful WHITE pillowcase for as long as possible, so I need to know which of these care instructions are correct. Can this be washed in cold water on a gentle cycle, turning inside out (to keep the pom poms intact) and placed in a laundry bag or pillowcase and then laid out to dry?
