Review on πŸ–±οΈ Black Kensington Orbit Wireless Trackball Mouse - K72352US with Touch Scroll Ring by Garrett Craven

Everything is great except scrolling (updated August 6, 2019)

I bought this to use with either hand as I'm having trouble with my dominant hand. The trackball wasn't that difficult to figure out, although pressing the button under my ring finger is still a little tricky. My main problem is scrolling. To scroll, you must drag your finger across the slightly textured area around the base of the sphere. I can't get this to work smoothly; The scrolling is so jerky and unpredictable that I had to pull out my old Mac trackpad to scroll through long documents. Update two weeks later: I give up. I still use my Mac trackpad for scrolling, but very often when I use the trackball to position the mouse pointer, it jumps up or down the page for no reason. I have to keep my fingers over the trackball to avoid accidentally touching the scroll ring (which can be an issue), but it almost feels like my palm is touching the trackball's body, which could be to blame. Whatever the reason, it just seems like a really crappy product. I will try something else.

Pros
  • A dream come true
Cons
  • I won't say anything
