Used to travel to the UK, France, Austria, Germany and Belgium. In fact, I left all but three of the adapters at home. The UK adapter worked in every socket we tried. The European adapters [with larger-diameter pins] worked in all the outlets we tried except for a flat one, where the adapter didn't fit in a recessed round outlet - the plastic body of this adapter was too big, interfering with some of the functionality on the sockets . Most sockets we encountered were CEE 7/1 or CEE 7/5 sockets, which didn't have these annoying features - it was CEE 7/3 (or "Schuko") sockets that we did found in a recent German apartment with features on both sides that prevented insertion.
