Bought this to cover an old gray sofa that our cat had scratched - wanted a new sofa but decided to try this one first. I was positively surprised! The cover actually stretched (a one man job that looks a lot like a sheet), although the little red tags saying "back" are actually visible on the back of the sofa, and I had to redo a few pillowcases . because the stitching is visible on one side of the pillowcase and not on the other. It was made for a slightly differently shaped sofa than ours, so the back corners definitely look weird (disguised with a throw for now). It looks a little dirty/crumpled at first but I bought some upholstery pins and spent a few minutes pinning the edges under the floor and between the back cushions and I think apart from the corners it's looking pretty darn good now. . I have uploaded photos of the original gray sofa, the cover with no pins (2 photos with the blanket on the back) and the cover with pins (2 photos with the "seams" between the back cushions and no blanket). ). The fabric is pleasantly soft, similar to brushed stretch flannel, and has a warm white colour. The color shows where the stitching is, but I think if you choose a darker/more opaque color you could hide any discrepancy between the shape of the sofa and the cover better than mine. I've only had it a few days so have yet to see how it holds up to wear and washing, but hopefully it will come clean fairly easily.
