The locks didn't work for my purpose but not because of problems with the locks themselves. I like them and will use them for another purpose. The problem I had was my own lack of understanding or poor ability to measure. The hole I wanted them to go through is 1/8" in diameter. I've read that the cables on the locks are also 1/8" in diameter. I argued that they give enough due to the plastic coating to go through the hole. However, what I didn't take into account was that the spherical metal tip would be exactly 1 hair (or millimeter or whatever) larger in diameter. So of course they didn't fit in the hole. As the problem on As it is due to my lack of a full research I cannot blame your company for the error.As such I would never ask for a refund under the circumstances.As far as padlocks go I like this: I like the shape and weight of the AA battery as well as the Ease of use compared to traditional padlocks which I sometimes have to fiddle with to lock or unlock.The shape of the battery is nice hm for arthritic fingers, and the fact that it's in two parts makes it easier to press with two hands. We old people with poor eyesight appreciate that. Ordinary luggage locks are ridiculously easy to pick with a paper clip. I know because even I can. I intuitively feel this is a bit more complicated, although I don't know for sure. The company contacted me to inquire about my experience with these locks. I said I would leave a full review. They offered to replace or refund the money if not satisfied. For the above reasons, I didn't ask either. So this is my personal opinion and not because I got something for free.
