This is a great finish for laminate floors. While not a contractor I have done quite a bit of laminate work and found this to be the best yet. A couple of suggestions. First, if you want a straight, non-tapered edge, you must be careful to lengthen the drill as little as possible. The further you go past the camp, the greater the taper becomes. Second, it seems easiest to run this bit close to the material so the bearing doesn't run at full speed. Since it is a triangular bearing, if you start from the guide material, it will hit the material. It's easier to just let the bearing touch a little and then go all the way back to the material. Finally, it's not good for inside corners, so you'll still need to have a ΒΌ-inch solid carbide end mill handy, but it really doesn't matter. flush trim heads if a bearing fails. Carbide tips are good but can burn the material (if you don't lubricate the material). This tip solves both problems while providing a variable bevel. Definitely worth the money if you are working with laminate on any level.
