I am always skeptical when it comes to buying hard drives from sellers in the market as I have many Had trouble getting a slightly different model than the one listed in the listing (e.g. if the model number in the listing was an SED I could get the standard no SED option) and getting hard drives that are OEM or otherwise out of warranty. To my delight, all of the drives I purchased here were the correct model (ST10000NM0086), the "standard" Seagate Exos x10 SATA 10TB variant, and all of the drives were immediately verified when their serial numbers were used to register via the Seagate website were maintained. This seller offers great prices and a legitimate, correct product. As for the drives themselves, they're terrible hard drives, with a large 256MB write cache, an excellent stated MTBF of 2.5 million hours, and an AFR of 0.35% (average failure rate). ) for 24/7 operation, competitive maximum uncorrectable read error rating of 1 sector per 10E15 bits read, reasonable power requirements from 4.5W (idle) to 8.4W (at maximum load), workload speed limited to 550TB/year (several times better than any consumer hard drive and even some hard drives in the same class) and of course Seagate's amazingly long 5-year warranty. This drive is also an excellent choice as a workstation, especially for those who work around the clock and need to record constantly.
