Out of the box with the Windows 10 standard driver, the speeds were rubbish even in the same room as the router. After examining it, I saw that it uses an Atheroes chip, so I installed the original device driver for it and was able to get the correct speeds. I have a feeling this would work better with external antenna extensions, but I don't know if these antennas are bad or how these products work with their placement.
